Welcome to Cosmetics Forum!

The following general guidelines should always be kept in mind when posting here.

This is a public website where members are encouraged to discuss issues, share information, and interact with the rest of the community. Opinions expressed are the views of the person posting the message and do not reflect the positions of any officer our officers.

We take these guidelines seriously, and will not hesitate to remove access privileges in response to repeated violations.

The administrators reserve the right to edit or delete posts and to ban IP address of members at any time, with or without warning, as they deem necessary.

While the administrators and moderators are here to guide the discussions, members are encouraged to maintain order among themselves. Members are expected to abide by the rules and respect the decisions and actions taken by the moderators and administrators. Likewise, they are expected to treat other forum members with the utmost courtesy and respect.

Generally, please use common sense when posting.

1. Spamming and flooding, or multiple posts of the same message to a thread, are not allowed. However, you can post the same message to different boards as long as it is relevant to the respective topics.

2. Do not post just to sell a product, promote a website, etc. Posts are for legitimate discussion of relevant topics only. Posting non relevant statements will be removed.

3. Don't create posts with nothing but a link. If you are going to link to a news article for example, give a summary of it.

4. It is okay to promote your own things, but wait until you have contributed something useful (posts-wise) to the forum.

5. BE COURTEOUS t o other users. It is OK to argue against someone's position; it is NOT OK to insult or attack another person.

6. Profanity, lewd or lascivious statements, and solicitation of sex are NOT allowed.

7. Name calling, discrimination, and offensive statements against specific groups or ideologies, including known groups within the forums are prohibited. Personal attacks against people or sites will not be tolerated. If you have an issue with someone or their site, take it up with them personally.

* Posts of this nature will be edited or deleted with or without prior notice. The offenders will be warned and this will be counted as a major offense.

8. Do not repeat things that have already been said. This means you are responsible for READING PREVIOUS POSTS before making a post yourself. Obviously, if there are hundreds of posts on a topic, you won't be required to read every one, but you should read a significant portion of them. Users who constantly repeat things that have already been said do not add anything of value to the discussions in our Forums.

9. Use complete sentences, correct grammar, and correct spelling in all of your posts. Avoid posting messages such as "I agree", "Thanks", and "Great post" as this will be deleted. Should you need to thank the member for a great post, use the Thanks button located at the bottom left of the post box.

10. We can allow users of the same IP address but will be watched closely for their posts. If we find that these users post same content or have found to be violating the forum rules, we will immediately ban the IP address/usernames. Should you wish to change your username, simply contact the Administrator.

11. Do not send Private Messages containing links to your site and promoting products/services to other users.

12. Please refrain from messages like this "Please visit the website… (in signature),(read below), (read more) ", or "I am giving free samples, please visit my website here". If you want users to know more about your site, make sure that it is relevant to the topic and most especially, post it in the right section. We do have a “Products and Special Offers” category that can be used if you want to give beauty product reviews, talk about special offers, share online store for cosmetics and other beauty products.

13. Do not post links to referrals types of systems such as offering “free products”.

14. Do not post Unauthorized Advertising of any form or fashion.

15. Posting non relevant information to any topic will be deleted.

16. You are only allowed a maximum of 2 signature links. Text signatures should be 2 lines normal size of 4 to 6, and up to 60 chars per line. Do not use font sizes above 6. Do not use explicit (offensive, nude, disturbing) images as signatures.

The staff here has the final say on what is appropriate and what is not.

General Violations and Penalties

For the rules listed above, please take note the following:

Actions to be taken in the event of specific violations are listed under each rule.

For each major offense, a warning will be sent to the offending member in a private message indicating the reason for the violation. A link to the warned post will be included if applicable. The member will also be put under watch, and the member’s profile will display her watched status by an infraction.

A maximum of three warnings will be given before additional action is taken. A one month period without any infractions will remove one warning.

However, if the member continuously commits an offense, their access and privileges will be suspended for a month. After the one month suspension, the member can resume their normal activities. Please note that moderators will continue to watch until good behavior has been noted.

Violations and infractions Points:

Profanity, Vulgarity, Insults, Offensive Behavior, Racism, Trolling - Action: 1st Offense: Warning
2nd Offense: Infraction + Warning
3rd Offense: Infractions until permanently banned
Points: 1

Highly Offensive Content -
The posted material is considered so offensive that the user must be immediately banned. - Action: Delete and Ban Points 5

Signature Rule Violation - Action: Infraction + warning Points 1

Non relevant post/ Off Topic Advertisement - Action: "Infraction + warning+delete post
Delete and ban user if more than 3 postings" Points 1

Offensive Content (post depicts or endorses the use or abuse of mind-altering drugs or the abuse of alcohol,
contains sexually suggestive material or offensive gestures,
private information of another individual) - Action: *Infraction + Warning + Delete Post
** Delete post for pornographic material. Ban user if more than 3 postings" Points 10

Spam/ Spammed Advertisements - Action: Immediate Take Down and Permanently Ban User Points 30

Infraction Points
10 Infraction Points = Posting rights are revoked.
20 Infraction Points = Three Week Forum Ban
30 Infraction Points = Permanent Forum Ban

Members who deliberately disregard repeated warnings and whose behavior does not improve after multiple suspensions will be banned in the forum.
