I am a big fan of makeup and love how the colors complement my skin. However there are also times that I like to rest from all those colors and go with a very simple yet attractive no make up look. It's no easy work actually because you need to work your brushes right and apply the right amount to accomplish the look.

The first thing you need to do to achieve the best no makeup look is to cleanse, tone, and moisturize your skin. Let your moisturizer set for 5 minutes before applying your makeup.

As a rule of thumb, use a concealer that is a shade lighter than your skin to cover your under eye area. To cover up uneven skin tone and imperfections on your face, just use the same shade as your skin tone. Lightly pat the concealer using a flat brush. Take your time. The reason for using concealer is minimizing the skin imperfections and not to totally hide them.

After applying your concealer, you can now use your matte foundation. Now if you do not have too much dark spots and blemishes to cover up, you can use a tinted moisturizer.

When applying your foundation, use a brush with very smooth bristles so it blends well on your skin. Evenly coat your skin with the right amount of foundation for a more natural look. If you need to use more, let the first layer set first before applying the second one. Then lightly dust your face with a translucent powder to put your foundation in place.

Gently pat a small amount of pale matte eyeshadow on your eyelids. Avoid using the shimmer eyeshadow as this will affect the end result. What we want to achieve here is a no makeup look so we need to use matte products. Top a darker color over your base eyeshadow and blend both colors well so there are no visible lines. Brown and yellow based shadows work very well with the natural look. If you must use blush, choose a pale color and lightly sweep it across your cheekbones twice. You may also use a cheek tint for a more natural look as it blends on the skin well.

Use a clear mascara after curling your lashes. If you want to use black or brown color mascara, use only one or two coats to avoid clumping.

Use a lip tint for a more natural look and top them with a clear lip gloss.
