This might not be the most appropriate forum for this question, but given that weight loss is a national endemic, I was positive that there will perhaps be some men or women here, who have been on any diets at all. If you have any idea whatsoever kindly share.

I am especially undecided on what weight loss product to choose, since there are so several options out there. The most recent hypes on Oprah like hoodia gordonii or coleus do not make this matter any more straightforward. I truly do not have an idea where to commence, should I opt for an exact diet program, schedule of exercises...All I do know is that an alteration is needed. And this change must take place now.

I would recommend you to not skip meals rather eat small but frequent meals. This will stop you from craving too much when you get hungry. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables; and lessen your carb and fatty foods intake. I also recommend you to drink 8 glasses of water everyday. This will wash out toxins and help keep your skin hydrated too. And of course you have to have an exercise routine to keep you fit. My aunt is a doctor and she would not recommend any weight loss pill as it will cause damage your liver or kidney. If you do decide to take slimming or fat burning pills, make sure that you drink lots and lots of water to flush out those strong ingredients.

Water is always good for the body. It can flush out toxins and can treat diseases. Water cleanses the body and the skin too, so water is the best therapy for every illness. Water can help you lose weight because it cleanses the liver. The liver’s duties is to pick up the slack for the kidneys, which need plenty of water to work properly. If the kidneys are water-deprived, the liver has to do their work along with its own, lowering its total productivity. It then can’t metabolize fat as quickly or efficiently as it could when the kidneys were pulling their own weight. If you allow this to happen, not only are you being unfair to your liver, but you’re also setting yourself up to store fat. As you continue to give your body all the water it could ask for, it gets rid of what it doesn’t need. It gets rid of the water it was holding onto in your ankles and your hips and thighs, maybe even around your belly. You are excreting much more than you realize. Your body figures it doesn’t need to save these stores anymore; it’s trusting that the water will keep coming, and if it does, eventually, the flushing (of both the body and the potty) will cease, allowing the human to return to a normal life.

It becomes the carrier of germs or impurities or even fats out of our body so unconsciously it helps!.

Water helps us indirectly because it removes impurities and germs out of our body naturally.

That's right. Water helps keep our body in so many ways. It flushes out toxins from our body, especially in our kidneys and our liver. Getting plenty of water in our body is important to avoid hydration that also causes skin aging and other diseases.

Do you think there is a limit to the amount of water a person can drink?
Personally, I drink as far as I'm thirsty.
In the summer, I can achieve 12 liters per day.

I don't think there's a limit of how much water we can drink everyday. Water is essential to our body. If we drink a lot of it, it will all pass out from our body through urination and sweating.

yes water can help in weight reduction. water is need when liver convert your fat into energy. how does it work? liver picks up slack from kidneys which needs water to work. If the kidneys are water-deprived, the liver has to do their work along with its own, lowering its total productivity. It then can’t metabolize fat as quickly or efficiently as it could when the kidneys were pulling their own weight. If your lacking of water then you are likely storing fat.

Water therapy is the use of water to improve health. According to alternative medicine advocates, one form of water therapy is the consuming of a gutful of water upon waking in order to "cleanse the bowel". A litre to a litre and half is the common amount ingested. This water therapy, also known as Indian or Chinese Water Therapy, is claimed to have a wide range of health benefits; or at least no adverse effects. While ingesting about a litre and a half of water is usually harmless, this is approaching the level which can lead to water intoxication, an urgent and dangerous medical condition. Advocates of water therapy claim that application of water therapy at first will cause multiple bowel movements until the body adjusts to the increased amount of fluid. ^_^

Your body requires eight, 8 ounce glasses of water each day. Water facilitates weight loss and helps you stay healthy and regular, even when you are on a diet. If your water does not taste good to you, add a slice of lemon to each glassful.

Remember that drinking eight 8-ounce glasses of water each day is as important to weight maintenance as it is to weight loss. Don't make the mistake of thinking that by cutting back on water intake, you will prevent water retention! The opposite effect will take place. By drinking more water your kidneys will be stimulated, helping to reduce water retention; and, in the process, your body will burn some more calories. Always drink water in place of "diet" beverages - there is no caffeine in water -and it is calorie free! Avoid artificially sweetened beverages of all types. If we can persuade you to give up diet drinks, this could lead you to a world appreciating sweetness while satisfying your palate and, in a matter of just one or two weeks, natural food will begin to taste unbelievably sweet, and it will be much easier for you to stick with your diet. Diet drinks (and artificially sweetened desserts) just turn on your appetite "on" without satisfying it, possibly leading you to overeat at other times. When you need a drink, try water! If you crave something sweet, have a drink of water.

Substitution of fruit for snacks and desserts is helpful. Other dense-calorie foods that are high in fatty acid sugar should be restricted. Nibble on fruit all day long, not just grapefruit, like so many do. Remember almost all fruit is "safe" for dieters. Keep fruits in plain sight on the counter or on the table. Make a very attractive selection of grapes (two kinds), oranges, tasty crisp Granny Smith, York or other apples; peaches that have just come in season; bananas, kiwis, papaws, cantaloupe, and the old standby -- grapefruit. Make it a practice to eat fruit, including dried fruits of all kinds, for desserts, in place of pies, cakes, and cookies. Then we will have truly taken another big step in controlling our weight.

The food processors who manufacture diet foods are capitalizing on our preference for snack foods, and they may have us "hooked". Think about it. Somebody "out there" is making a fortune feeding us artificially sweetened junk with no nutritional value, and we are gulping it down and getting our fill while getting addicted and becoming overweight. Cutting out the use of all artificial sweeteners can be difficult, but if you are serious about losing those pounds, we know you can do it!

Plain old water, with zero caffeine and calories, can really help you shed those unwanted pounds and keep them off! Sometimes the most help comes from the simplest sources, doesn't it?

-Burning calories creates toxins.Water is essential to flush them out of our body.

-Water helps maintain muscle tone by assisting muscles in their ability to contract, and it lubricates your joints. Proper hydration can help reduce muscle and joint soreness when exercising.

I think people who drink more water tend to stay full longer and are less likely to eat. Also, if you are normally a soda or juice drinker, and you replace them water-that is a whole bunch of calories that you are no longer consuming any more.

I agree that drinking water assists with weight loss, mostly because when I drink it tends to take the edge off hunger. The stomach doesn't know whether its contents are food or water, as long as it's not empty.

absolutely. Water does helps in losing that excess body fat. Eight glasses would help but if you're but if you’re overweight, you should drink another eight ounces for every 25 pounds of excess weight you carry. You should also increase the amount if you live in a hot climate or exercise very intensely.

11 Tips For Drinking More Water
1. How much should I drink?
The formula I've heard for how much water you should drink is this:
Take your weight in pounds and divide it by 2.
Take the result and divide this by 8 (for 8 ounces of water)
This number is the approximate number of 8 oz glasses of water you should be drinking daily.
Example:
150 pounds / 2 = 75
75 / 8 = 9.375 or about 9.5 glasses of water each day.
This is just a rough guide. If you live in a hot climate or do a lot of exercise, then you'll need more.
You can also use this water calculator to help you determine how much water you should be drinking.
2. Drink as much as is comfortable
If you’re not used to drinking water, don’t force yourself. You’ll just end up feeling sick, bloated, and uncomfortable. Build up your water levels. Start with just one or two glasses first thing in the morning if you can and then build up.
3. "I have to pee every 10 seconds"
For the first day or two, this is what you’re going to be thinking. The good news is that your body will very quickly adapt to the new level of water you're drinking. But, it might be a good idea to start your experiment on a weekend or a day that you can stay close to the washroom.
If you find that it doesn't get better after a few days then try drinking smaller amounts of water more frequently.
4. Spread it out
Drink water throughout the day. If you try to drink it all at once, your body won't be able to absorb it properly. So, it's no good trying to drink 9 glasses of water for breakfast. Instead, try to drink a little at least every hour.
5. Add some lemon
Adding a few drops of lemon helps greatly. Makes all the difference for me. I use the bottles of concentrated lemon juice you can buy in any grocery store. Then it's like having a glass of lemonade instead of tasteless water.
6. Use an oversized mug
If you use an oversized mug which holds at least 2 cups of water, it's easier than continually filling up a regular sized glass. Also, if you make a herbal tea in an oversized mug, you're much more likely to drink all of it as opposed to convincing yourself to make another tea.
7. Crave more and more
I discovered that the more water I drink, the more water I crave. So, now I make sure I have a bottle of water that I can take with me when I'm out and about.
8. Scratchy throat?
One result I've experienced is that some days, I will now wake up with a scratchy, itchy throat. It feels like you've suddenly caught a sore throat. It seems to go away instantly if you drink your glass(es) of water.
9. Lose Weight?
In the course, it said you’ll lose weight by doing this. I haven’t noticed that. But, I could see how that would happen if you started drinking water instead of coffee filled with milk and sugar or something like juice or pop.
10. Sensitive to dehydrating drinks
I've noticed now that I've started drinking more water that if I drink something that is known to dehydrate you like coffee, tea, or caffeinated drinks, then I will feel much more dehydrated later. I suppose your body likes the feeling of being hydrated and doesn't like you trying to dehydrate it again.
11. Don't sign up for the reality TV show, "Survivor"
The bad news with doing this is that if you ever get stranded on a desert island or go on a show like "Survivor", I think you'll be the first to go. I think once you're hydrated, you definitely feel the effects of dehydration much more than you did when you weren't drinking enough. The good news is that you are now so much healthier and won't be feeling tired anymore.
