Our skin can become oily because of factors such as diet, hormone levels, pregnancy and the cosmetics we use. An oily skin can also be hereditary. If the weather in the place you live in its hot and humid, then too the sebaceous glands begin to produce more oil. What is your opinion?

No! I did'nt agree with you totally on that because generally I see fat people have oily skin of face specially? Is it the high level of fats in their body?

Actually, everyone has their own natural oil on their faces, this is
to protect the skin from getting any harm or to prevent pre-mature
aging. I think it's normal for people to get oily skin. However, for
those who have active oily skin, i suggest to see dermatologists.
Maybe your skin need some extra treatment.

And one more thing that those who have oily skin got pimples quickly because the pores of skin which produce oil when got dirt on it and block the way of oil to come out of the skin and result in the shape of pimples so I recommend to them is to wash their faces regularly.

Hi,

I have found a few tips, on what your dies should be like when your skin is oily:

- rich in proteins but restricted in sugar, fluids and salt.

- plenty of leafy green vegetables and fresh fruits.

- even a slight deficiency in vitamin B2 can cause oily skin. Nutritional yeast, wheat germ and organ meats provide both vitamin B5 and vitamin B2. Other good sources of vitamin B2 are whole grains, beans, nuts, and royal jelly. Buckwheat, black beans and whole rice are excellent to supply the body with iron and rejuvenate pate skin.

- drink plenty of quality water to keep the skin hydrated and flush out toxins - I would suggest at least 8 glasses a day!

- reduce the amount of fat in your diet. Avoid pork and fried and highly seasoned foods. Consume no animal fats, or heat-processed vegetable oils.

- do not cook with oil. Do not eat any oils that have been subjected to heat, whether in processing or cooking. If a little oil is necessary, such as in salad dressing, use cold-pressed canola or olive oil only.

- do not drink soft drinks or alcoholic beverages. Avoid sugar, chocolate, and junk food. Do not drink Pepsi and Coke especially, as there is plenty of sugar.

It will not change your skin to normal, but will help a lot,

Kaew

For me, my face feels oily at the end of the day. Maybe its because of stress. I noticed that when I am already tired from work, my skin feels dull and oily. Also, the doctors sometimes say it because of some hormonal imbalance. I got a hormonal imbalance so maybe that one of the reasons why I sometimes have oily skin!
